This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
β’ Oversee the actuarial workstream for NSA, encompassing forecasts, reserve estimates, liability monitoring, profitability assessments, and financial impact evaluations.
β’ Collaborate with Actuarial, Finance, Operations, Legal, HNS, and vendor contacts to collect, verify, and analyze data necessary for NSA financial analysis and reporting.
β’ Create and maintain documentation of NSA data sources, assumptions, methodologies, process flows, and reporting definitions to ensure consistency and audit readiness.
β’ Develop regular reporting packages that highlight NSA inventory trends, liability changes, payment activities, financial impacts, and significant operational updates.
β’ Identify areas for enhancing data quality, streamlining data collection processes, minimizing manual efforts, and reinforcing ongoing monitoring of NSA activities.
β’ Incorporate NSA inventory, liability, and payment data into actuarial reserving, forecasting, and financial reporting methodologies.
β’ Prepare analyses, summaries, and presentation materials that effectively convey NSA financial outcomes, emerging trends, key risks, and suggested areas of focus.
β’ Engage in NSA working sessions and stakeholder meetings to comprehend operational modifications, assess financial implications, and offer actuarial insights on strategic initiatives.
β’ Monitor regulatory, operational, and claims-related developments that could impact NSA financial results and relay findings to actuarial leadership.
β’ Assist with ad hoc analyses and special projects across essential actuarial functions, including reserving, pricing, forecasting, and other financial or business requirements.
β’ Lead and mentor team members by establishing priorities, reviewing analytical outputs, providing coaching, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality NSA actuarial outputs.
β’ A bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Sciences, or a related field.
β’ A minimum of 7 years of experience in Actuarial and/or statistics, along with the attainment of Associate level in the Society of Actuaries (ASA).
β’ Supervisory experience is preferred.
β’ Familiarity with NSA is highly desirable.
β’ Additional licensing, certifications, or registrations: ASA is required.
β’ Expert knowledge of Excel is required.
β’ Advanced proficiency with SAS is required.
β’ Experience with trends, actuarial forecasting, and reserves is essential.
β’ Understanding of NSA regulations is necessary.
