Management Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Create monthly billing files for both Core and Ancillary billing processes.

• Reconcile cash accounts while identifying and resolving any discrepancies.

• Manage customer refunds, cancellations, and chargebacks effectively.

• Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

• Process deferred revenue, accruals, and prepayment journals.

• Oversee month-end closing procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

• Track overdue accounts receivable balances.

• Review, reconcile, and submit sales tax returns and payments.

• Assist in the annual audit process and coordinate with auditors during testing.

• Provide ad hoc assistance to the Finance Manager.

• Contribute to the generation of Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports, including variance analysis and commentary.

• Work collaboratively with dispersed teams across the US and engage with multiple financial systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.

• At least 3 years of accounting experience.

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, including the use of Pivot Tables.

• Experience with various software systems, such as SAP and NetSuite.

• Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles.

• Knowledgeable in deferred revenue, accruals, and prepayment journals.

• Experience managing inter-company transactions.

• Familiarity with month-end responsibilities, including balance sheet reconciliations.

• Significant involvement in the year-end audit process.

• Excellent organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.

• Strong problem-solving abilities.

• Quick adaptability to change.

• Ability to perform efficiently under tight deadlines.

• Team-oriented and collaborative.

• Work authorization in the United States may be required.
