Major Gifts and Development Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Conduct research and create profiles for key donors, foundations, and conference participants prior to CEO engagements to ensure every meeting is optimized.

• Take charge of follow-ups by crafting outreach emails, thank-you notes, and cultivation communications on behalf of the CEO, maintaining the appropriate tone, timing, and subsequent steps.

• Guide donors through the cultivation process, from the initial outreach to scheduled meetings and secured commitments.

• Identify and monitor grant opportunities that align with Parity’s mission, managing submission timelines comprehensively.

• Compose persuasive grant proposals, letters of inquiry, donor reports, and major gift case statements.

• Equip the CEO for speaking engagements and conferences by developing briefing materials that highlight funding opportunities.

• Keep the donor CRM updated and current, ensuring the pipeline remains actionable.

• Actively identify new funding strategies and prospect ideas without needing direction.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in business development, nonprofit development, major gifts, or a donor-facing fundraising position — we prioritize your achievements over your job title.

• A successful track record in writing grant proposals or major donor communications that led to funding opportunities.

• Understanding of donor cultivation strategies and the major gifts cycle.

• Ability to operate as an extension of a CEO or senior leader — drafting communications in their voice, representing their brand, and managing follow-up actions.

• Experience in a startup, early-stage organization, or resource-limited environment is a significant advantage.

• Familiarity with CRM systems (any platform) is beneficial but not mandatory.
