This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska.
• The Maintenance Technician is tasked with executing skilled maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance operations across various building systems and equipment.
• Diagnose, repair, and conduct preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of plumbing systems, fixtures, and appliances.
• Execute basic electrical maintenance, which includes the replacement and repair of switches, outlets, light fixtures, ballasts, and related components.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems and their associated equipment.
• Respond promptly to maintenance service requests and emergency repair situations.
• Assist in carpentry, mechanical repairs, and general upkeep of the building.
• Maintain and repair specialized commercial facility assets, including overhead doors and related equipment.
• Conduct regular facility inspections to identify maintenance requirements and safety issues.
• Support facility enhancement projects and equipment installations.
• Isolate, diagnose, and resolve complex maintenance problems affecting facility operations.
• Utilize maintenance management and computerized purchasing systems to procure parts, materials, and supplies.
• Keep precise records of work performed, equipment repairs, and preventive maintenance activities.
• Suggest corrective actions and long-term solutions for recurring maintenance challenges.
• Adhere to all safe work practices and company safety protocols.
• Follow confined space, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and working-at-heights regulations.
• Identify hazards and implement appropriate mitigation strategies before commencing work.
• Ensure all work aligns with applicable codes, manufacturer specifications, and company policies.
• Stay mindful of guest and employee safety while carrying out maintenance tasks.
• Exhibit strong teamwork by supporting colleagues and contributing to common objectives.
• Clearly and effectively communicate timelines, priorities, and updates.
• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• At least one (1) to two (2) years of experience in skilled building trades, commercial maintenance, industrial maintenance, or a related field.
• Experience in troubleshooting and repairing multiple building systems is preferred.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment non-DOT drug screening, fit-for-duty medical capacity examination, and a criminal background check.
• Proven proficiency or certification in at least two (2) of the following areas: General maintenance, HVAC systems, Mechanical systems, Electrical systems and controls, Pipefitting/plumbing, Welding.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Working knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and maintenance management systems.
• Capability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and schematics.
