This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Deliver technical support and operational expertise across both mainframe and distributed system environments.
• Assist in mainframe operations utilizing ISPF, TSO utilities, JCL, Control-M (BMC), DB2 tables, and dataset management.
• Aid in batch processing, monitoring, and resolving issues.
• Manage and provide support for Unix and Windows systems, WebSphere JVMs, Citrix platforms, MQ, and VMware ESX infrastructures.
• Facilitate the implementation and maintenance of Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019 environments.
• Monitor Control-M jobs, confirm their statuses, analyze logs, rerun failed jobs, and adjust parameters as needed.
• Resolve incidents, implement changes, and ensure service availability.
• Oversee systems data for clients and offer daily solutions while ensuring security compliance.
• Supervise assignment queues and prioritize tickets for technicians.
• Suggest modernization strategies and pinpoint new business opportunities.
• Collaborate with colleagues, senior engineers, global teams, stakeholders, and other departments.
• Contribute to team effectiveness and initiatives aimed at continuous improvement.
• Practical technical skills in mainframe and distributed system environments.
• Operational discipline with the capability to work under the guidance of senior team members.
• Familiarity with ISPF, TSO utilities, JCL, Control-M (BMC), DB2 tables, and dataset management.
• Unix/Linux administration expertise.
• Knowledge of Windows Server 2016/2019.
• Understanding of WebSphere JVM, Citrix, MQ, and VMware ESX.
• Experience with Control-M job monitoring, log analysis, reruns, and parameter adjustments.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux commands, file manipulation, permissions, process management, scripts, and logs.
• Intermediate skills in SQL queries utilizing SELECT, WHERE, and JOIN.
• Ability to execute targeted INSERT and UPDATE data corrections.
• Experience with Postman/API requests using GET, POST, and PUT.
• Capability to validate status codes and response payloads.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Kibana, ELK, Dynatrace, and Grafana.
• Fluent English is mandatory.
• Willingness to work from 2 pm to 11 pm.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Experience in Linux and SQL is considered a plus.
