This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Collaborate within small, hands-on teams during the on-site execution of MCE/UTR tasks.
• Carry out MCE responsibilities as instructed by the MCE Lead, which includes significant crane operations with GE MCE teams, local GE staff, third-party contractors, and crane vendors.
• Conduct inspections on all major components to verify that there is no damage and that they are the correct type or configuration for the turbine.
• Review Inventory Tooling, Parts, and any other necessary items required for MCE operations.
• Interpret the directives outlined in GE manuals, specifications, and bulletins, completing assigned tasks in accordance with GE work instructions.
• Ensure data is gathered to finalize reports on completed MCE/UTR tasks.
• Immediately report errors, violations, incidents, or issues using GE reporting systems.
• Submit inquiries to Engineering to resolve technical problems and respond to questions from Management, Engineering, Sourcing, and Project Teams as needed.
• Make decisions regarding conformance or non-conformance upon completing inspections and report findings to the MCE lead/FRO/CMS as required.
• Be part of a roster to work weekends and nights if necessary or as instructed by management.
• Execute high-voltage switching operations as per site procedures when required.
• Be knowledgeable of and adhere to all EHS policies and procedures relevant to the job, reporting any injuries, spills, near misses, or related incidents, as well as any concerns regarding potential violations of this policy.
• Complete all mandatory EHS training.
• Must be a qualified Electrician with a valid Australian electrical license and possess a strong mechanical aptitude, or a Mechanical tradesperson with electrical skills.
• Skilled in diagnosing faults in electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment.
• Experience in comprehensive wind farm operations and maintenance, installation, and heavy lift main component exchange.
• Trained to an intermediate level in computer skills.
• Must possess the appropriate eligibility to work in Australia at the time of application (i.e., Permanent Resident of Australia, Australian Citizen, or New Zealand Citizen).
• Willingness and ability to travel nationally or internationally for work and training as part of a 3-week on, 1-week off roster.
