Machine Learning Engineering Manager – Personalization

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and nurture a team of machine learning engineers, fostering an inclusive and high-performing engineering culture.

• Establish the technical vision for the team while collaborating with Product, Data Science, and Engineering leaders to deliver impactful machine learning solutions.

• Oversee the design, development, deployment, and management of scalable production machine learning systems.

• Provide technical mentorship, career advancement support, performance management, and consistent feedback to engineers.

• Facilitate execution by assisting the team in prioritizing tasks, eliminating roadblocks, and continually enhancing delivery processes.

• Promote engineering excellence through contemporary software engineering methodologies, experimentation, and operational best practices.

• Collaborate across teams and missions to shape technical strategy and ensure coherence throughout the Personalization organization.

• Advocate for the thoughtful utilization of emerging machine learning technologies, including large language models, that deliver significant user value.

• You have established trust through coaching, mentoring, and assisting engineers in their professional development.

• You have extensive knowledge in building and managing production machine learning systems at scale.

• You are familiar with the entire machine learning lifecycle, from experimentation to deployment and monitoring.

• You have experience with contemporary machine learning methods, including large language models and generative AI applications.

• You communicate effectively with engineering, product, and data science stakeholders.

• You are dedicated to cultivating inclusive teams where collaboration, curiosity, and continuous learning flourish.

• You balance technical proficiency with practical decision-making to achieve significant business results.
