Machine Learning Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient and reliable ETL pipelines for large datasets.

• Ensure data quality.

• Develop and enhance ranking models, recommendation systems, and personalization strategies.

• Work with embedding models and semantic search.

• Address various ML/DS challenges.

• Deploy models and write production-level code.

• Support microservices and monitor their performance.

• Collaborate with the DevOps team to integrate MLOps CI/CD into the product.

• Design and conduct A/B tests.

• Analyze test results and derive insights from data.

• Work with business stakeholders to identify growth opportunities for the product.

• Transform business problems into robust and practical ML/DS solutions considering production requirements.

• Manage tasks from conception to production.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3+ years of commercial experience as an ML Engineer/Data Scientist.

• Proficient in Python and ML stack.

• Ability to write clean and maintainable code.

• Understanding of OOP and design patterns.

• Experience with classical ML models and deep learning.

• Knowledge of statistics and probability theory.

• Familiarity with A/B testing fundamentals.

• Experience with relational and key-value stores.

• Understanding of CI/CD principles.

• Experience with Dagster or other orchestrators.

• Familiarity with Linux operating systems.

• Understanding of Bash.

• Willingness to learn and apply new technologies in Information Retrieval, Big Data, and Machine Learning.

• Ability to justify decisions and effectively collaborate with other teams.

• Experience with Recommendation Systems or in the Information Retrieval domain is a plus.

• Experience using AI assistants is a plus.

• Practical experience in online A/B testing is a plus.

• Experience with Big Data technologies: Spark/PySpark or other distributed data processing engines is a plus.

• Experience with Docker is a plus.

• Proficiency in Kibana or Grafana is a plus.
