
LOTO Certified Traveling Wind Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +22 more locations.
β’ Travel extensively, 100% to wind farms across North America, on an 8/1 rotation.
β’ Execute blade Lockout/Tagout responsibilities for GE wind turbines while assisting in blade repair operations.
β’ Oversee confined-space activities for internal blade repair tasks.
β’ Support the blade repair crew with on-ground and elevated work.
β’ Engage with customers on-site as required.
β’ Operate the basket, rig and de-rig the blade access platform, and execute tag-lining procedures.
β’ Aid in troubleshooting issues relating to the work scope.
β’ Keep on-site supply inventory organized during repair activities.
β’ Carry out various operational support tasks as directed by the team leader.
β’ Deliver excellent customer service, adhere to site protocols, and maintain attention to detail.
β’ Ensure personal, team, and site safety standards are upheld.
β’ Safeguard company property and interests while exhibiting professional behavior.
β’ A valid GE LOTO Certificate is required: NAM Blade LOTO, NAM Tech Essentials, or RELC Tech Essentials; proof must be provided.
β’ GE Qualified Electrical Worker 1 certification.
β’ Must possess or be trained in GWO Basic Safety Training, OSHA 10, NFPA 70-E, and Confined Space protocols.
β’ Proficient in the safe and proper use of powered hand tools.
β’ Competent in IT skills, including email, internet usage, and iPad navigation.
β’ Willingness and ability to travel extensively by air and ground transport, often on short notice.
β’ Capability to drive or travel for up to 11 hours daily when necessary.
β’ Flexibility to adapt to changes in project scope and schedule.
β’ Strong teamwork skills and willingness to accept guidance.
β’ Must hold a valid driver's license, possess a good MVR report, and be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
β’ Ability to climb ladders multiple times daily, reaching heights of up to 300 feet/90 meters, as well as bend, crawl, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds.
β’ Must be capable of wearing a respirator and working safely with personal protective equipment.
β’ Good vision, with corrective lenses if necessary.
β’ Must be a US/Canadian citizen or have legal authorization to work in either country.
β’ Willingness to travel 100% on an 8/1 rotation throughout the year.
β’ Must be able to travel by commercial airline to project locations across North America.
β’ Ability to meet physical demands, including climbing turbines over 125m+/400+ feet and lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds.
