Logistics & Supply Chain Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Serve as the main point of contact for newsprint suppliers to verify delivery schedules and quantities.

• Oversee the call-off process, ensuring that accurate volumes and reel specifications are ordered and delivered punctually.

• Keep delivery schedules updated and notify stakeholders of assigned mill times and dates.

• Track newsprint usage and stock levels at print sites and ports against established SLAs.

• Assist in regular assessments of third-party logistics providers to gauge service quality and contract adherence.

• Evaluate distribution routes and vehicle loading patterns to enhance capacity utilization and fuel efficiency.

• Reconcile delivery notes and confirm newsprint usage.

• Analyze primary distribution expenses against budgets and monitor financial objectives.

• Develop streamlined reporting processes to aid in decision-making.

• Provide administrative and logistics support throughout national newspaper supply chains for Reach and third-party clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in a dynamic supply chain, logistics, or administrative position.

• Familiarity with the printing, paper, or manufacturing industry is highly preferred.

• Knowledge of newsprint specifications such as GSM and reel widths is strongly desired.

• Proficient in Excel.

• Strong data entry capabilities.

• Experience with reporting tools.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Outstanding time management skills for handling complex delivery schedules.

• Effective communication skills for managing cross-functional stakeholders.

• Ability to track deliveries and rectify inventory discrepancies from start to finish.

• Capacity to work under pressure and meet crucial publishing deadlines.

• Skill to collaborate with external suppliers, logistics partners, and internal finance/production teams.
