Logistics Engineer, FDC/BDC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Identify opportunities for improving logistics processes through competitive analysis and critical thinking.

• Support and/or lead cross-functional strategic initiatives or process enhancement projects.

• Create business tools and solutions leveraging knowledge, products, or technology.

• Evaluate and recommend enhancements for systems and software.

• Generate reports and execute ad hoc queries.

• Identify and formulate business rules and standard operating procedures to optimize operational processes.

• Develop and maintain cost estimates, forecasts, and cost models.

• Provide analysis for facility and capacity planning related to distribution and transportation functions.

• Conduct time studies, rate analysis, network analysis, statistical analysis, flow path analysis, and supply chain analysis.

• Establish metrics and key performance indicators for designated business units.

• Report to the Manager, Logistics; no direct supervisory responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen years of age.

• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

• Minimum educational requirement: bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.

• At least 2 years of relevant work experience.

• Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

• Familiarity with Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word, and Visio.

• Advanced skills in Minitab, Access, SQL, Visual Basic, Visio, Project, and position-specific specialized software.

• Strong project management capabilities.

• Advanced data modeling proficiency.

• Experience in finance, cost-benefit analysis, or capital budgeting.

• No prior leadership experience is necessary.

• Must be a self-starter, detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple projects, and possess excellent communication and analytical skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with a team and engage with various levels and functions within the Global Logistics organization.
