This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• A Logistics Engineer plays a vital role in enhancing processes and managing task-out projects, often aimed at reducing costs.
• Conduct operational analyses, facilitate process improvements, plan facilities and capacity, and oversee project management.
• Discover opportunities for logistics process enhancements through competitive analysis and critical thinking skills.
• Assist in or lead cross-functional strategic initiatives or process improvement projects.
• Create business tools and solutions leveraging expertise in products or technology.
• Assess and propose system or software upgrades as necessary.
• Generate reports and execute ad hoc queries as required.
• Identify and establish business rules and standard operating procedures to optimize operational processes.
• Execute time studies, rate evaluations, network assessments, statistical analyses, flow path evaluations, and supply chain analyses.
• Create metrics and key performance indicators for designated business units.
• Candidates must be at least eighteen years old.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required.
• A degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering field is necessary.
• Experience with Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word, and Visio.
• Advanced skills in Mini-tab, Access, SQL, Visual Basic, Visio, Project, and specialized software relevant to the position.
• Strong project management capabilities are essential.
• Advanced data modeling skills are required.
• Experience in finance, cost-benefit analysis, and capital budgeting is advantageous.
