This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Assess customer fuel delivery needs and oversee inventory levels to ensure prompt fulfillment.
• Create and manage daily dispatch schedules while maximizing delivery effectiveness.
• Coordinate transportation efforts with drivers, carriers, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Allocate loads to third-party carriers while ensuring timely acceptance and execution.
• Collaborate with Supply teams to identify sourcing and lift-point strategies.
• Act as the main point of contact for inquiries related to transportation.
• Deliver exceptional customer service through timely communication and resolution of issues.
• Work with drivers to ensure delivery timelines are adhered to and issues are promptly addressed.
• Anticipate service interruptions and implement recovery strategies.
• Make data-driven decisions in a dynamic environment.
• Prepare and maintain precise operational documentation.
• Report, document, and follow up on accidents, spills, and safety-related incidents.
• Contribute to process enhancements that improve efficiency and service quality.
• Assist with special projects and operational initiatives.
• Collaborate with Transportation, Supply, Customer Service, Safety, and Operations teams.
• Oversee transportation planning and scheduling across various regions.
• Ensure effective communication between internal and external stakeholders.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in dispatching, transportation, logistics, customer service, or related operational roles.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a deadline-oriented environment.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
• Capacity to prioritize tasks and manage conflicting deadlines.
• Excellent analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer-centric approach with a commitment to service excellence.
• Self-driven and capable of working independently in a fast-paced setting.
• Adaptable and resilient in response to changing priorities.
• Proficient in computer skills with the ability to navigate multiple systems and applications.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations, hazardous materials requirements, and transportation operations.
• Preferred experience in petroleum, fuel transportation, dispatching, logistics, or supply chain management.
• Preferred knowledge of DOT regulations and handling hazardous materials.
• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
