This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Support the Logistics Operations team with daily transportation and carrier-related tasks.
• Address operational inquiries and assist with everyday logistics requirements.
• Collaborate with internal departments to troubleshoot issues and aid in achieving business goals.
• Contribute to special projects and ongoing improvement efforts.
• Maintain and refresh essential logistics databases and repositories.
• Assist in audits and evaluations of carrier documentation, agreements, and compliance records.
• Ensure that transportation, terminal, and carrier information is precise and current.
• Keep operational records and reporting systems organized.
• Oversee workflow requests and approval procedures across various business functions.
• Aid in transportation and carrier vetting processes.
• Monitor workflow advancement and assist in eliminating process bottlenecks.
• Track and report on carrier performance metrics.
• Assist in the creation and dissemination of operational reports.
• Supervise service levels throughout the carrier network.
• Recognize trends and opportunities for enhancing operational performance and customer satisfaction.
• Gather, organize, and analyze operational data.
• Assist with KPI reporting and monitoring business performance.
• Support logistics leaders with reporting, audits, and special initiatives.
• Convert data into actionable insights and recommendations.
• Preferred Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, operations, or a similar area.
• Experience in supporting logistics operations, carrier management, transportation coordination, billing, or operational support activities.
• Strong organizational abilities and keen attention to detail.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Capability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience in transportation, fuel, logistics, supply chain, or distribution sectors is preferred.
• Familiarity with carrier management, transportation operations, or freight coordination is a plus.
• Experience with business systems, databases, workflow platforms, or logistics software is preferred.
• Knowledge of fuel transportation, shipping, or loading operations is advantageous.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Comfortable handling data, reports, and operational procedures.
• Curious and eager to expand knowledge in transportation and logistics.
• Adaptable and at ease in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
• Proactive in spotting issues and developing solutions.
• Hands-on experience in transportation and logistics operations.
