Location Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Director and Art Director to create designs for locations that align with the show's aesthetic.

• Produce various views, maps, and exploratory designs of locations.

• Develop both linear and tonal/painted designs for locations.

• Partner with the Art Director and design team to establish a cohesive visual style for the show.

• Play a key role in the advancement of the show's design.

• Exhibit creative teamwork within a fast-paced environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional drawing and painting abilities (including perspective, interiors, architecture, and landscapes).

• Strong comprehension of light, shadow, and color principles.

• In-depth knowledge of location design and its application throughout the production process.

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop.

• Experience in 2D production along with an understanding of location modeling and 2D layout is advantageous.

• Outstanding creativity with the capacity to generate original concepts and ideas.

• Ability to design according to set proportions while adhering to the overall show aesthetic.

• Capable of discussing, making decisions, and communicating ideas across diverse aesthetic domains.

• Prior experience working on a show is preferred.
