This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

• Create 2D and 3D designs for low voltage systems intended for field installation and coordination with other subcontracting teams.

• Engage in regular coordination and status update meetings with trade team members through virtual platforms and in-person discussions.

• Develop low voltage calculations, mounting details, and comprehensive wiring diagrams to facilitate field installation documentation.

• Interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, elevation, and reflective ceiling plan drawings to guarantee design precision.

• Collaborate daily with the NTS Design Manager and NTS Operations staff to address design-related issues.

• Ensure that design schedules, budgets, and customer expectations are fulfilled.

• A minimum of 2 to 5+ years of experience in low voltage system design.

• Strong familiarity with Autodesk software; proficiency in Navisworks and AutoCAD MEP is preferred.

• Experience with Autodesk Revit and 3D coordination with other trades is advantageous; willingness to participate in provided training if necessary.

• Comprehensive understanding of construction blueprints (architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical).

• Knowledge of electrical/low voltage symbols and drafting conventions and standards.

• Familiarity with Fire Alarm, Electronic Security, Telecommunications, and Nurse Call Systems.

• In-depth understanding of low voltage system applications, terminology, architecture, and current industry trends.

• NICET Certification or equivalent design experience with Fire Alarm System Codes and Standards is preferred.

• Proficient in MS Office and virtual meeting platforms such as MS Teams.

• Excellent relationship-building, customer service, and client communication skills.

• Strong verbal and written interpersonal and communication abilities.

• Capability to meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting files, opening filing cabinets, and bending or standing as required.
