Lived Experience Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Leverage your personal experiences within the criminal justice system to help shape, design, and influence the future of justice services.

• Contribute your unique viewpoint, creativity, and insights during co-design workshops, consultations, and sessions focused on service development.

• Offer constructive feedback on existing models and assist in creating innovative materials such as campaigns, videos, and written resources.

• Aid in the recruitment and mentoring of new consultants while serving as an ambassador for lived experience leadership in justice reform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Personal experience with the criminal justice system, either directly or through a close family member.

• A strong passion for social justice and the desire to use personal experiences to foster positive change.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in creative environments.

• Dependability, strong time management skills, and a commitment to ongoing professional growth.

• Experience in creative disciplines such as writing, media, spoken word, art, or design is desirable.

• Familiarity with public speaking, peer mentoring, or advocacy is considered a plus.

• Knowledge of trauma-informed practices or co-production approaches is advantageous.
