This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +4 more states.
• Oversee and respond to subpoenas, garnishment orders, discovery requests, and other legally required notifications, ensuring prompt and precise compliance.
• Facilitate and assist with e-discovery processes, including email searches, document retrieval, and electronic data collection pertinent to legal requests.
• Collaborate closely with internal business partners (e.g., HR, Payroll, IT, Operations) to: Guarantee the completeness and accuracy of searches and data production, clarify scope, timelines, and process-related inquiries, and offer guidance on discovery requirements and legal responsibilities.
• With assistance from other members of the Legal team, interact with external legal counsel on matters related to discovery and subpoenas, including: Clarification of scope, negotiation of deadlines or extensions, and resolution of procedural or compliance-related issues.
• Maintain systematic records of all requests, responses, and associated correspondence.
• Support process enhancements, templates, and documentation related to subpoena and discovery response workflows.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a law clerk in a law firm.
• Possession of a Paralegal Certificate or a comparable qualification.
• Familiarity with Purview is considered an advantage.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills, capability to work independently, and proactive anticipation of next steps are essential.
