This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Lead professional development initiatives utilizing adult learning strategies to enhance structured literacy practices and product implementation.

• Conduct professional development sessions, providing coaching to classroom educators and instructional coaches on structured literacy methods and foundational reading skills.

• Assist classroom teachers and school administrators in enhancing their content knowledge and understanding their roles in the implementation process.

• Offer constructive feedback as part of the coaching cycle to identify areas for progress and opportunities for growth.

• Uphold the highest level of expertise in literacy instruction and Scholastic product knowledge.

• Foster professional relationships with educational districts.

• Build and sustain collaborative relationships with team members and partners.


⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s Degree (or progress toward a degree) in education or a reading-related discipline.

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in delivering face-to-face professional development in literacy and/or reading.

• At least 3-5 years of experience in teaching or instructional coaching.

• Comprehensive knowledge of systematic and explicit instruction in foundational reading skills and experience with structured literacy instruction.

• Thorough understanding of language acquisition theories and the ability to apply these concepts to instructional strategies.

• Proficient in implementing linguistically and culturally responsive teaching methodologies.

• Experience with Multi-Lingual Learners or bilingual proficiency is advantageous.

• Up-to-date knowledge of college and career readiness standards.

• Familiarity with the human change process and adult learning theories.

• Capability to maintain a flexible travel schedule.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and PowerPoint applications.

• Experience with virtual presentation tools such as Zoom and Teams.

• Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

• Strong facilitation abilities, professionalism, and creativity.

• Valid driver's license.
