This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Oversee, monitor, and maintain Ubuntu and Red Hat Linux servers within production and staging settings
• Execute system upgrades, kernel updates, patch management, and performance optimization
• Establish and manage user access, security protocols, and strategies for backup and recovery
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to hardware, operating systems, and networks
• Sustain configuration management and deployment pipelines utilizing Ansible, Puppet, or similar tools
• Track system health and resource usage to ensure optimal uptime and performance
• Collaborate with DevOps and Cloud teams on environment provisioning across AWS, Azure, or on-premises infrastructures
• Oversee server hardening, SSH configurations, SSL certificates, and compliance with OS-level security
• Engage in capacity planning, disaster recovery, and incident response activities
• Develop and maintain system documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and audit reports
• Provide support for mission-critical systems and enhance infrastructure management processes
• A minimum of 8 years' hands-on experience in Linux system administration, specifically with Ubuntu and Red Hat
• Proficient in Bash scripting and automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Shell, or basic Python
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus
• In-depth knowledge of DNS, DHCP, NFS, SSH, and firewalls
• Experience with virtualization and containerization technologies, including VMware, KVM, and Docker
• Strong troubleshooting abilities with system logs, kernel problems, and service interruptions
• Knowledge of Git and CI/CD pipeline environments
• Exposure to AWS, GCP, or Azure is an additional asset
• Exceptional documentation and communication skills; capable of supporting global teams
• RHCSA or RHCE certification is preferred
• Experience in managing high-availability clusters, load balancing, and RAID management is a plus
• Previous experience in large-scale enterprise infrastructure environments or technology product companies is favored
