Linux Administrator – Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.

📋 Description

• Supervise services and infrastructure elements such as DNS, GitLab, Artifactory, and Vault

• Execute upgrades, CVE patching, backup and restore, security scans, and monitoring tasks

• Manage and support private cloud environments utilizing OpenStack and Kubernetes

• Design, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux systems across bare metal, virtual machines, and container setups

• Address incidents, offer support coverage, categorize issues, conduct post-mortem analyses, and perform root cause investigations

• Ensure environments remain stable and meet availability SLAs

• Minimize operational effort through automation and ongoing improvements

• Partner with development teams to resolve infrastructure challenges in production

• Keep infrastructure documentation and operational procedures up to date

• Continually enhance knowledge of industry best practices

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience as a Linux system administrator, DevOps Engineer, or Site Reliability Engineer

• Significant experience in designing, building, configuring, and troubleshooting Linux servers in bare metal, container, and cloud environments

• Proficient in Linux server configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting within production settings

• Knowledge of process control, logging, and Linux service management

• Familiarity with infrastructure services like Vault, Artifactory, DNS, and similar platform components

• Expertise in automation tools such as Ansible, Salt, or Chef

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized environments

• Hands-on experience with monitoring and log aggregation tools like Grafana, ELK, or Graylog

• Practical experience in deploying and maintaining systems on OpenStack, VMware, Proxmox, AWS, GCP, or Azure

• Proficient in Bash and Python scripting

• Understanding of Apache Tomcat, Nginx, MySQL DB, PostgreSQL, Kafka, RabbitMQ, and similar servers and databases

• Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD workflows

• At least C1 proficiency in Russian and B1 in English
