This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Install, configure, manage, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) along with other Linux-based servers.
• Monitor system health, performance, availability, and security to guarantee dependable operation of production environments.
• Conduct system patching, upgrades, backups, and routine maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot issues related to the Linux operating system, applications, network connectivity, and infrastructure.
• Manage Linux file systems, directories, permissions, and user access controls.
• Create, modify, troubleshoot, and maintain BASH shell scripts to automate administrative and operational duties.
• Configure and maintain Linux configuration files, initialization (.ini) files, and application-specific configuration files.
• Provide support for enterprise application administration, including learning and managing IBM Transformation Extender (ITX) application server environments.
• Analyze and troubleshoot Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processing and translation challenges.
• Assist with application deployments, upgrades, and production releases.
• Collaborate closely with application developers, database administrators, and network engineers to resolve production issues.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and system configurations.
• Contribute to disaster recovery planning, system restoration, and business continuity initiatives.
• Engage in system monitoring, incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous process improvement efforts.
• Offer technical leadership, knowledge sharing, and documentation support for team members.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Linux systems administration.
• At least 3 years of experience with Linux shell scripting (BASH).
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in enterprise application administration.
• Strong proficiency in using the Linux command line and managing Linux file systems.
• Experience with Linux directories, permissions, file management, configuration files, and system utilities.
• Experience in creating, modifying, debugging, and maintaining shell scripts.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities concerning Linux operating systems, applications, and network connectivity.
• Capability to diagnose and resolve production issues in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and follow-through.
