Linguists, English to Spanish (Latin America) – Patent

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Translate patent-related materials from English to Latin American Spanish, ensuring the original meaning is accurately conveyed.

• Adhere to guidelines regarding the translation procedure and the utilization of CAT tools.

• Communicate efficiently and respond promptly in English.

• Translate, proofread, copy edit, and conduct MTPE for patent-related content in the fields of Chemistry, Computer Science, and Electricity.

• Manage an anticipated workload of 2,000–5,000 words weekly.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least two years of experience in translating and reviewing content within the patent domain.

• Native-level proficiency in Spanish, specifically for the Latin American target audience.

• A degree in linguistics, translation, or equivalent professional experience.

• Capability to translate, copy edit, and perform MTPE effectively.

• Proven experience in translating patents from English to Spanish.

• Familiarity with proofreading patents, particularly in Electricity, Computer Science, and Chemistry.

• Immediate availability for patent translation assignments.

• Competence in following translation processes and CAT tool usage instructions.

• Strong communication skills with a prompt response time in English.

• Experience with the XTM CAT tool.
