Linguist – Maori

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Zealand.

📋 Description

• Convert content between English and your native language while maintaining cultural sensitivity and clarity.

• Revise and enhance language content for precision, tone, and contextual relevance across various digital platforms.

• Implement current language standards, usage trends, and best practices in all deliverables.

• Assess and provide structured feedback to elevate language model quality.

• Collaborate with Production and cross-functional teams to adapt content for your language-speaking markets.

• Assist in content creation, localization, and quality assurance for digital tools and applications.

• When transcreation is necessary, the text should be creatively modified beyond the source to ensure it flows naturally in the target language.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency at the native level in the target language(s).

• A graduate degree in translation, linguistics, or language studies, OR

• A graduate degree in a different field combined with 2 years of full-time professional translation experience, OR

• 5 years of full-time professional translation experience.

• The capability to adhere to terminology and reference materials accurately.
