Lifecycle Specialist, Employee Relations and Transitions – EMEA, APAC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Oversee and address all aspects of employee exits across various international regions, ensuring an exceptional offboarding experience for Remote's clients and their employees.

• Offer reliable advice and manage client inquiries on a range of HR topics, including but not limited to termination, resignation, transfer procedures, employment contracts, and redundancy processes, while ensuring compliance with legal standards and best practices.

• Conduct and facilitate meetings with clients and external employees, including but not limited to consultations on workforce reductions, administrative hearings, and negotiations regarding separations and settlements, while providing termination guidance and delivering outcomes.

• Negotiate favorable results in intricate terminations, balancing the interests of multiple stakeholders with differing priorities.

• Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to guarantee compliance during offboarding activities and audits, including but not limited to payroll, legal advisors, government entities, and trade unions.

• Accurately draft, customize, and manage all termination and supplementary documents, ensuring employee records are maintained in strict accordance with privacy and confidentiality standards.

• Manage offboarding processes on Remote's internal HRIS platform, working alongside various internal teams such as Customer Success, Legal, Payroll, and Benefits, to ensure all elements of the employee exit are handled accurately and promptly.

• Serve as the subject-matter expert, addressing internal and external inquiries on all offboarding issues in collaboration with Lifecycle's internal teams.

• Guide clients through Remote's Employee Relations resources and documentation, aiding their understanding of relevant policies and procedures.

• Conduct initial assessments of workplace issues, identifying critical facts and applicable local laws.

• Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure proper management of employee relations situations.

• Assist clients in grasping progressive disciplinary methods and documentation needs.

• Keep track of ongoing employee relations cases, ensuring timely follow-ups and coordination with the appropriate stakeholders.

• Actively seek out opportunities for process enhancements, automation, product development, and overall improvements in customer and employee experiences through offboarding and employee relations workflows.


⛳️ Requirements

• Previous experience as an HR Advisor or HR Business Partner, demonstrating generalist HR skills and exposure across the employee lifecycle.

• Established background in managing voluntary and involuntary exits (terminations) with care, sensitivity, and legal compliance; along with providing thorough HR support and guidance on employment laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions.

• Capability to interpret and apply industrial instruments, analyze complex HR challenges, conduct research, present practical solutions, and communicate recommendations effectively to clients and internal stakeholders in uncertain and unfamiliar scenarios.

• Basic knowledge of employee relations principles, progressive discipline techniques, and fundamental workplace investigation processes.

• Strong communication, influencing, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills, with the ability to confidently steer challenging discussions towards positive outcomes, even when parties have conflicting interests, while maintaining professionalism and strict confidentiality.

• Advanced proficiency in both written and spoken English, with additional languages viewed as an advantage.

• A strong inclination for innovation and process optimization, consistently identifying and executing opportunities for automation and advocating for best practices.

• Operational efficiency, with a keen understanding of the importance of meticulous record-keeping and data integrity.

• Proficient with technology, capable of collaborating asynchronously using various tools, and adapting to new and evolving systems.

• Ability to work independently and cohesively within an international team in a fast-paced, asynchronous, remote environment with multiple priorities. Willingness to accommodate flexible hours as required.

• Proactive and self-driven with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
