This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Assist the Lifecycle Time & Attendance (T&A) team with daily operational challenges, including but not limited to workflow design, process enhancement, tooling, automation, data management, knowledge management, and the creation and upkeep of Standard Operating Procedures.
• Serve as the primary contact for the team regarding process, data, and technical operational requirements.
• Report directly to the Senior Manager of Lifecycle: Time & Attendance.
• Establish and uphold operational governance for high-risk T&A areas, such as working time regulations, overtime, sick leave, and exceptions to leave policies. Define controls, escalation pathways, and quality checks to minimize compliance risks and impacts on employees.
• Design and implement global HR policies and procedures tailored to Time & Attendance (e.g., leave, attendance, overtime, working time directives), ensuring alignment with local employment laws.
• Actively monitor changes in global employment legislation pertinent to T&A, providing guidance to T&A leadership and the Legal team on necessary policy revisions and timelines for implementation.
• Function as the Policy Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the T&A function, advising Operations, Product, and Engineering on accurate legal interpretations to incorporate into our platform, processes, and tools, including the use of AI-assisted experiences and automation features where applicable.
• Aid Time & Attendance teams in new country expansions by coordinating and outlining key T&A policy events and legal dependencies among internal and external stakeholders.
• Extensive and proven experience in a large-volume, high-complexity policy, compliance, and employee relations support team across various global regions and countries.
• Strong and demonstrable proficiency in analyzing, interpreting, and applying employment legislation relevant to T&A, with a talent for legal review and policy risk mitigation.
• Experience in addressing Time & Attendance-related challenges is highly preferred.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to draft, implement, and communicate complex global HR policies, consistently ensuring legal compliance and operational clarity.
• Proven track record of successfully managing and completing projects from inception to delivery, covering requirements gathering, policy design, implementation, and refinement.
• Strong focus on SLA adherence and data-driven decision-making using metrics to identify compliance risks.
• Capability to transition from “scout to scale,” operating independently and converting ambiguity into clear deliverables.
• Exceptional communication, influencing, conflict management, and negotiation skills, with the ability to lead challenging discussions independently with stakeholders (Legal, Operations, Leadership).
• An agile, resilient, and customer-focused approach to working in a dynamic, ever-evolving environment, with a high tolerance for ambiguity and strong self-motivation. Ability to excel in a fast-paced, international context while working independently.
• Understanding of the significance and benefits of asynchronous work, with a proven history of both experiencing and advocating for it.
• High proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Consistently demonstrates high levels of discretion, integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Experience in a startup or high-growth environment; enjoys and comprehends the necessity of working largely asynchronously, with remote work experience considered a plus.
