This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.
• Assist the Lifecycle Time & Attendance (T&A) team in addressing daily operational challenges, which include workflow design, process enhancement, tool development, automation, data management, knowledge management, and the creation and upkeep of Standard Operating Procedures.
• Serve as the primary contact for the team regarding process, data, and technological operational requirements.
• Report directly to the Senior Manager of Lifecycle: Time & Attendance.
• Establish and uphold operational governance for high-risk T&A domains such as working time regulations, overtime, sick leave, and exceptions to leave policies. Define controls, escalation processes, and quality checks to mitigate compliance risks and employee impact.
• Design and execute global HR policies and procedures related to Time & Attendance (such as leave, attendance, overtime, and working time directives), ensuring alignment with local employment laws.
• Actively track changes in global employment legislation pertinent to T&A, providing insights to T&A leadership and the Legal team regarding necessary policy revisions and implementation schedules.
• Function as the Policy Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the T&A division, offering guidance to Operations, Product, and Engineering on the correct legal interpretations to integrate into our platform, processes, and tools, including AI-assisted experiences and automation features when appropriate.
• Support Time & Attendance teams in new country expansions by coordinating and outlining significant T&A policy events and legal dependencies involving both internal and external stakeholders.
• Extensive and proven experience working in a high-volume, high-complexity policy, compliance, and employee relations support team across various global regions and countries.
• Strong expertise in analyzing, interpreting, and applying employment legislation relevant to T&A, with a talent for legal review and policy risk management.
• Experience in addressing Time & Attendance related challenges is highly advantageous.
• An analytical mindset with the capability to draft, implement, and communicate intricate global HR policies, consistently ensuring legal compliance and operational transparency.
• Demonstrated success in managing and executing projects from initiation to completion, covering requirements gathering, policy design, implementation, and refinement.
• Strong focus on SLA compliance and data-driven decision-making, utilizing metrics to identify compliance risks.
• Ability to transition from "scout to scale," working independently and transforming ambiguity into well-defined deliverables.
• Exceptional communication, influencing, conflict management, and negotiation skills, with the capacity to independently lead difficult discussions with stakeholders, including Legal, Operations, and Leadership.
• An agile, resilient, and customer-focused approach to working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a high tolerance for ambiguity and strong self-motivation. Ability to flourish in a rapid international context while working autonomously.
• Understanding the significance and benefits of asynchronous work, with a proven history of advocating for it.
• High proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Consistently demonstrates a high standard of discretion, integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
