This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Rhode Island.
• Provide thorough neuropsychological, psychological, and/or psychoeducational assessments for clients with referral issues pertaining to learning, behavioral, emotional, and/or social challenges.
• Deliver both written and verbal feedback to clients concerning evaluation outcomes, diagnostic insights, and suggestions for suitable remediation options, including referrals.
• Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological, psychological, and/or psychoeducational evaluations in person and/or virtually.
• After evaluations, hold feedback sessions with the patient (or their legal guardian if the patient is a minor).
• Prepare a detailed written report that outlines the evaluation results, diagnoses, and recommendations, which will be maintained in the patient’s medical record and shared with the patient (or their legal guardian in the case of a minor) and referral sources, adhering to HIPAA Privacy and Security regulations.
• Ensure timely completion and upload of written documentation according to departmental policies.
• Oversee and train “Diagnostic Specialists” (Psychometrists/Technicians) in Neuropsychological Testing/Assessment through direct Supervision (Individual/Group).
• Proactively seek supervision when necessary.
• Stay updated in the field of psychology and pursue continuing education opportunities relevant to psychological/neuropsychological testing of pediatric patients.
• Engage in weekly Regional Clinical Training Meetings and present at the Weekly Psychology Assessment Didactic Seminars (PADS).
• Hold an active license and maintain good standing with the state board of psychology.
• Adhere to the HIPAA privacy and security policies of ABA Centers of America.
• Collaborate with fellow team members to support the mission of ABA Centers of America, including participating in regular departmental and general staff meetings.
• Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology or Developmental Psychology (Psy.D. or Ph.D.) with specialized training in the assessment of pediatric and adolescent neurodevelopmental disorders, including specific learning disorders, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and intellectual disabilities.
• Ability to maintain a clean background/drug screening and driving record (mandatory).
• Prior experience in the assessment, administration, scoring, and interpretation of Neuropsychological Tests is required.
• Experience with administering measures/tests of Intellectual Functioning, Development, Autism Spectrum Disorder including the ADOS-2, Social Communication, and Emotional and Behavioral Functioning.
• Proficiency in English is required.
• Proficiency in Spanish is an advantage.
• Compensation: $150 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
• This role is classified as a 1099 independent contractor position.
• Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, licensure, and professional liability insurance.
• No employee benefits are provided.
