Licensed Mental Health Counselor, LMHC-D

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Deliver outpatient mental health services through Brave Health’s telehealth platform.

• Provide empathetic and high-quality mental health care remotely.

• Offer treatment to patients of all age groups.

• Identify mental health and/or substance abuse disorders.

• Create individualized treatment plans.

• Perform thorough assessments of clients.

• Collaborate with clients to help them reach their objectives.

• Utilize telehealth software, video communication, and internal communication tools throughout the workday.

• Complete around 30 client care hours weekly, averaging six clients daily.

• May be required to acquire additional state licenses as Brave Health enters new markets.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's degree and appropriate licensure.

• Candidates for LMHC and LMFT must possess Diagnostic Privileges (LMHC-D / LMFT-D).

• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States without any employer sponsorship now or in the future.

• Work-from-home environment must ensure privacy for patient safety and compliance with HIPAA.

• Proficiency in English.

• Understanding of mental health and/or substance abuse diagnoses.

• Experience in treatment planning.

• Comfortable with telehealth software, video communications, and internal communication tools.

• Experience in partnering with clients to achieve their goals.

• Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments.

• Must be at ease completing 30 client care hours per week, averaging six clients daily.

• Must have experience working with patients who have chronic severe mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, or schizoaffective disorder.

• Willingness to obtain additional state licenses as necessary.
