Licensed Master Social Worker – New York

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Conduct psychosocial evaluations that adhere to evidence-based practices.

• Provide counseling and therapy to patients utilizing evidence-based treatment methods.

• Exhibit proficiency as an individual, family, and group therapist.

• Uphold personal professional growth as mandated by the licensing board.

• Complete necessary documentation and paperwork, including biopsychosocial assessments, treatment planning, and implementation in a timely manner.

• Collaborate closely with patients, families, and the treatment team to address barriers in care.

• Ensure adherence to all organizational policies and procedures.

• Show cultural competency and a strong commitment to diversity.

• Respond promptly to urgent or emergent situations.

• Manage a caseload of 30-35 patients weekly, with a minimum of 5 patients daily.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master's Degree in Social Work or a related field is required.

• A relevant therapist license in the state(s) of practice (LMSW- NY).

• Experience working with pediatric and adolescent patients is essential.

• Preferred experience in providing teletherapy to children and adolescents.

• Familiarity with medical terminology.

• Capacity to effectively engage, collaborate, and cultivate meaningful relationships with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.

• Understanding of the psychosocial dimensions of illness and health.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Excellent skills in short-term counseling.

• Experience with discharge planning.
