This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver concise, evidence-based virtual individual and/or group counseling for patients experiencing low- to moderate-acuity acute mental health issues.
• Create, oversee, and document detailed treatment plans.
• Utilize the DSM to recognize symptoms, establish diagnoses, and formulate therapeutic or treatment strategies.
• Apply clinical judgment within the scope of licensure and support the behavioral health service line.
• Present case formulations and discussions both in written and verbal formats.
• Clarify TRICARE requirements and benefits to assigned patients.
• Keep convenience files and maintain outpatient and inpatient medical record documentation in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Draft case summaries and correspondence utilizing the approved electronic medical record system.
• Recommend hospitalization when necessary and assess service members' fitness for duty.
• Evaluate and complete Active Duty Profiles, MEB assessments, Military Occupation/Mental Status Evaluations, command consultations, and other essential administrative tasks.
• Generate reports for evaluations following relevant regulations.
• Participate in staff meetings for case discussions, continuing education, quality enhancement, and safety initiatives.
• Update patient charts and information within 72 business hours post-appointments; ensure high-visibility or higher-acuity patient documentation is updated by the end of business day.
• Adhere to SOPs, duty limitations, weapons access assessments, and multidisciplinary safety and notification protocols.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
• A Master's degree (or higher) in social work from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
• A minimum of two years of post-graduate experience as a Clinical Social Worker utilizing virtual platforms for bio-psychosocial evaluations, developing behavioral health treatment plans, administering Active-Duty Profiles, conducting Medical Evaluation Board (MEB) assessments, making fitness for duty decisions, and providing psychotherapy.
• Candidates with less than two years of experience using virtual platforms may also be considered.
• Possession of a current, active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to independently practice Clinical Social Work, issued by any U.S. State, District of Columbia, commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction.
• Must meet credentialing standards and secure and retain appropriate/relevant clinical privileges.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross.
• Availability to work a 9-hour shift from 0730 to 1630 Central Europe Time (CET) (UTC+2), Monday through Friday.
• Experience with virtual platforms.
• Proficient in bio-psychosocial evaluations, behavioral health treatment plans, Active-Duty Profiles, MEB evaluations, fitness-for-duty assessments, and psychotherapy.
• Knowledge of military health system behavioral health care, TRICARE requirements and benefits, and relevant clinical standards and protocols.
