Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Massachusetts

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Provide weekly counseling via text-based chat, video calls, and phone calls to track members’ recovery progress.

• Onboard users through an initial phone call and conduct comprehensive assessments covering behavioral health history and symptoms.

• Utilize Pelago’s Atlas AI-native EHR for documenting sessions, offering evidence-based guidance, and providing clinical context.

• Monitor member progress and deliver therapeutic strategies to address temptations and cravings.

• Assist and motivate members in establishing and maintaining their commitment to changing substance use behaviors.

• Collaborate with various departments to ensure a positive experience for members.

• Offer feedback to the product development team.

• Maintain active licenses and certifications in good standing.

• Participate in scheduled team meetings and case discussions.

• Support members and their families throughout the addiction recovery process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active credential in Massachusetts and in good standing.

• Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC).

• Bachelor’s degree is required.

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience providing CBT and/or behavioral support for substance use disorders.

• Comfortable working in an AI-augmented care setting.

• Willingness to adopt AI-assisted tools for documentation, member communication, and clinical decision-making.

• Proficient in Motivational Interviewing (MI), Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET), MAT coordination, and Relapse Prevention.

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-disciplinary healthcare teams.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Adaptable in fast-paced environments with the ability to prioritize competing demands.

• Technologically fluent and capable of learning new tools and platforms.
