License Compliance Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Assist in the implementation of the established software license compliance program and outline the global rollout strategy.

• Identify which regions to activate, in which order, and at what speed.

• Evaluate regions based on piracy exposure, market maturity, legal enforceability, and commercial sensitivity.

• Adjust program frameworks and enforcement protocols to fit local legal contexts, business practices, and the needs of regional Sales Teams.

• Disseminate regional insights, best practices, and program knowledge across business units.

• Oversee the end-to-end management of the license compliance program across activated regions.

• Handle compliance cases from the point of identification to resolution.

• Investigate allegations of software piracy and unauthorized utilization of Cimatron products.

• Implement regional enforcement strategies utilizing recovery tools, direct engagement, and external enforcement services.

• Enhance and maintain program tools, workflows, and standards for case resolution.

• Track global software piracy and IP enforcement trends, adjusting deployment strategies accordingly.

• Collaborate with regional Sales Teams on enforcement strategies and areas of non-compliance.

• Create and present compliance training for Sales, Customer Success, and Operations teams.

• Work alongside the BA General Counsel and external legal advisors on legal actions, lawsuits, settlements, and fee negotiations.

• Sustain relationships with channel partners and resellers regarding licensing agreements.

• Provide rollout updates and compliance performance dashboards to senior management.

• Relay deployment decisions, risks, case pipeline status, and enforcement trade-offs to leadership.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree or legal qualification is preferred.

• 5–8 years of experience in software license compliance, intellectual property enforcement, or a closely related domain within a software or technology organization.

• Proven experience in implementing or scaling compliance, operational, or go-to-market programs across various geographies, including managing regional prioritization and sequencing decisions.

• Documented success in managing compliance enforcement cases from start to finish, including legal coordination, settlement negotiations, and recovery efforts.

• Experience collaborating with regional Sales organizations to integrate compliance activities and translate enforcement results into commercial success.

• Experience in the manufacturing software, CAD/CAM, or engineering technology sectors is a significant advantage.

• Understanding of software licensing models (perpetual, subscription, floating, network licenses) and their enforcement implications across different legal jurisdictions.

• Knowledge of intellectual property law and software copyright principles across various jurisdictions.

• Experience with CRM systems, customer databases, order entry systems, and license tracking or audit tools.

• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to conduct regional performance analysis and compliance reporting.

• Familiarity with case management systems and compliance tracking tools.

• Strategic judgment and an operational focus—capable of making and justifying prioritization decisions with incomplete information and executing them effectively.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to convey compliance strategies, case statuses, and regional risks to legal, commercial, and senior leadership audiences clearly.

• Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities, capable of building trust with regional Sales Teams and engaging effectively across legal, commercial, and senior leadership functions.

• High cultural awareness and adaptability, with the capacity to navigate diverse business environments and legal contexts across global markets.

• Comfortable working independently within a global, matrixed organization, managing multiple regional workflows at the same time.

• Willingness to travel internationally to regional offices.
