License Compliance Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Lead and oversee the global implementation of Cimatron’s established software license compliance program.

• Identify regional priorities, deployment order, and pace of rollout.

• Evaluate regions based on piracy risks, market development, legal enforcement capabilities, and commercial sensitivity.

• Tailor program frameworks and enforcement protocols to align with local legal standards, business practices, and regional Sales Team requirements.

• Disseminate regional insights, best practices, and program findings within the Intelligent Manufacturing License Compliance community.

• Manage the complete pipeline of compliance cases from identification to resolution.

• Investigate allegations of software piracy and unauthorized use of Cimatron products.

• Implement regional enforcement strategies through self-service recovery tools, direct interaction, and external enforcement services.

• Enhance program tools, workflows, and standards for case resolution.

• Observe global software piracy and IP enforcement trends, adjusting deployment strategies accordingly.

• Collaborate with regional Sales Teams to synchronize enforcement methods and pinpoint non-compliance areas.

• Create and conduct compliance training for Sales, Customer Success, and Operations teams.

• Work in partnership with the BA General Counsel and external legal advisors on legal proceedings, lawsuits, settlements, and fee negotiations.

• Foster relationships with channel partners and resellers concerning Cimatron’s licensing terms.

• Provide updates on rollout progress and compliance performance dashboards to senior leadership.

• Convey deployment decisions, compliance risks, case pipeline status, and enforcement trade-offs.

• Monitor compliance cases, revenue recovered, and the transition of non-compliant users to licensed customers.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree is required; relevant fields include Business Administration, Law, Computer Science, or Engineering.

• 5–8 years of experience in software license compliance, intellectual property enforcement, or a closely related area within a software or technology organization.

• Proven experience in deploying or expanding compliance, operational, or go-to-market programs across various geographies, including managing regional prioritization and sequencing.

• A successful track record in managing compliance enforcement cases from start to finish, including legal coordination, settlement negotiations, and recovery efforts.

• Experience collaborating with regional Sales teams to integrate compliance activities and convert enforcement results into commercial success.

• Understanding of software licensing models, including perpetual, subscription, floating, and network licenses.

• Knowledge of intellectual property law and software copyright principles across different jurisdictions.

• Familiarity with CRM systems, customer databases, order entry systems, and tools for license tracking or auditing.

• Strong analytical capabilities, particularly in regional performance assessment and compliance reporting.

• Familiarity with case management systems and compliance tracking tools.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management abilities.

• High level of cross-cultural awareness and adaptability.

• Ability to work independently within a global, matrix organization and manage multiple regional projects concurrently.
