This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee liability loss claims from the initial intake to final resolution, ensuring that all actions comply with policy provisions, company guidelines, and relevant state regulations.
• Maintain accountability for each claim to guarantee timely progression, precise documentation, and suitable settlement strategies.
• Conduct thorough on-site investigations to assess property damage and ascertain liability exposure.
• Examine loss sites, collect physical evidence, capture photographs, and analyze contributing factors to facilitate accurate claim evaluations and coverage decisions.
• Carry out interviews with insured individuals, claimants, witnesses, contractors, and other pertinent parties.
• Meticulously document all interactions, recording key statements, observations, and discrepancies, and accurately input detailed notes into internal claims management systems.
• Identify and assess potential subrogation opportunities by reviewing liability elements and third-party involvement.
• Safeguard evidence and collaborate with subrogation teams or legal partners to bolster recovery efforts when necessary.
• Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, including claims examiners, supervisors, and legal teams, as well as external partners such as contractors, public adjusters, and attorneys to create clear, well-supported reports.
• Ensure that findings substantiate accurate damage valuations and informed claim decisions.
• Provide outstanding customer service by maintaining regular communication, setting clear expectations, and promptly addressing inquiries.
• Represent the company with professionalism, empathy, and integrity throughout the claims process, even in difficult or high-pressure situations.
• A minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience at an independent adjusting firm.
• Must possess a current and valid adjuster license(s).
• Must hold a valid driver’s license.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to work independently.
• Strong understanding of insurance laws and general construction practices.
• Familiarity with FileHandler, Xactimate, and ImageRight, or similar software is advantageous.
• Must be capable of conducting field investigations that may require working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
