• Analyze reported lower-level general liability claims to ascertain the benefits owed.
• Ensure ongoing claims adjudication aligns with company standards and industry best practices.
• Manage lower-level liability and/or physical damage claims under close supervision.
• Provide support to other claims representatives, examiners, and leads for larger or more complex claims as needed.
• Process general liability claims to determine compensability and benefits owed.
• Oversee reserve accuracy and submit necessary documentation to the state agency.
• Communicate claim actions and processing updates with claimants, clients, and relevant medical contacts.
• Ensure claim files are thoroughly documented and that claims coding is accurate.
• May handle routine payments, prescriptions, and status reports for lifetime medical claims and/or defined period medical claims.
• Foster and maintain professional relationships with clients.
• High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
• Licenses as required.
• A minimum of one (1) year of general office experience or a comparable mix of education and experience is needed.
• Experience in the claims industry is preferred.
• Jurisdictions: Nationwide Licensing: NY or HI licensing is preferred.
