Legal Subject Matter Expert, Philippines

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Act as a legal authority on Philippine corporate, commercial, labor, tax, and regulatory law.

• Conduct research and analysis of Philippine laws, regulations, case law, administrative guidance, and legal precedents.

• Review, annotate, and authenticate legal datasets, which include contracts, legal opinions, regulatory documents, and statutory interpretations.

• Assess commercial agreements, corporate documentation, employment-related materials, and regulatory documents.

• Assist AI teams in formulating prompts and evaluation guidelines for legal reasoning and drafting tasks.

• Evaluate AI-generated legal responses and identify any inaccurate citations, erroneous interpretations, hallucinations, or incomplete reasoning.

• Draft or assess legal summaries, memoranda, contract clauses, and structured legal analyses.

• Keep track of pertinent developments impacting Philippine corporate, labor, tax, and commercial regulations.

• Work in tandem with data scientists, AI engineers, and product specialists to create and assess high-quality legal datasets.

⛳️ Requirements

• Licensed Attorney, JD/LL.M. graduate, Senior Legal Researcher, or seasoned Paralegal with comprehensive knowledge of Philippine law.

• At least 3+ years of pertinent legal practice, research, drafting, or advisory experience.

• In-depth understanding of Philippine corporate law, commercial contracts, Labour Code stipulations, taxation, and regulatory issues.

• Exceptional legal research, statutory interpretation, citation verification, and document drafting skills.

• Proficient written English.

• Familiar with legal databases, regulatory research platforms, and legal technology tools.

• Experience with Generative AI, prompt engineering, or AI data annotation is an asset.

• Knowledge of responsible and ethical AI practices.
