Legal Subject Matter Expert – LATAM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Conduct in-depth research and analysis of civil, commercial, and administrative legal issues.

• Examine relevant statutes, regulations, case law, and administrative rulings.

• Evaluate litigation situations, procedural challenges, remedies, and legal arguments.

• Analyze commercial contracts and corporate disputes.

• Annotate and authenticate Spanish-language legal datasets.

• Confirm legal citations and statutory references.

• Assess AI-generated outputs for legal precision and relevance to jurisdiction.

• Compose structured legal analyses, memoranda, contract provisions, and case summaries.

• Work in collaboration with AI experts on prompt creation and evaluation techniques.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess a license as an Attorney, JD/LL.M. equivalent graduate, Senior Legal Researcher, or have substantial experience as a Paralegal.

• At least 3 years of pertinent legal experience is required.

• Strong background in civil litigation, commercial law, or administrative law within at least one Spanish-speaking Latin American jurisdiction.

• Must be a native or professional-level Spanish speaker.

• Demonstrated strong skills in legal research, reasoning, citation verification, and drafting.

• Capability to distinctly recognize jurisdiction-specific differences in Latin American legal systems.

• Proficiency in English is a plus.

• Knowledge of Generative AI is considered an asset.
