This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in China.
β’ Offer specialized advice on Chinese intellectual property and patent legislation.
β’ Analyze CNIPA examination guidelines, filing processes, office actions, patent prosecution, and administrative criteria.
β’ Assess novelty, inventive step, patentability, prior art, claim scope, and reasoning related to infringement.
β’ Compose, review, and enhance patent claims and associated patent documentation.
β’ Annotate and verify datasets related to patent applications, legal opinions, prosecution documents, and IP-related information.
β’ Support AI teams with requests that require advanced patent analysis and legal reasoning.
β’ Evaluate AI-generated outputs for inaccurate patent interpretations, improper citations, or flawed legal logic.
β’ Keep abreast of changes in Chinese intellectual property law and CNIPA procedures.
β’ Licensed Attorney, Patent Attorney/Agent, JD/LL.M. graduate, Senior Legal Researcher, or seasoned IP Paralegal.
β’ At least 3+ years of pertinent experience in intellectual property or patent law.
β’ Deep understanding of Chinese patent law and CNIPA examination protocols.
β’ Experience in patent prosecution and claims drafting.
β’ Proficient in Mandarin Chinese at an advanced level.
β’ Strong skills in legal research, statutory interpretation, citation verification, and analytical writing.
β’ Knowledge of patent databases and intellectual property research tools.
β’ Familiarity with Generative AI or prompt engineering is an advantage.
β’ Proficiency in English is a plus.
β’ Flexible working hours, tailored to the applicant's availability.
β’ Project duration of 3 months with the possibility of extension.
