Legal Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Perform legal research and draft memoranda on matters pertaining to insurance law, corporate law, and financial services regulations.

• Assist attorneys in reviewing, drafting, and organizing contracts, non-disclosure agreements, vendor agreements, and various other legal documents.

• Aid in conducting state insurance regulatory research and monitoring legislative and regulatory changes.

• Analyze and summarize statutes, regulations, regulatory guidance, and case law that impact the life insurance and annuity sectors.

• Support compliance-related initiatives and internal policy assessments.

• Participate in legal department meetings and work collaboratively with business stakeholders throughout the organization.

• Carry out additional legal and administrative tasks as required.

• Successful completion of the first year (1L) at an accredited law school.

• Strong academic credentials.

• Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical capabilities.

• Keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

• Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• Genuine interest in insurance, financial services, corporate law, securities, compliance, or regulatory law.

• Familiarity with legal research tools such as LexisNexis.
