This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Analyze realistic legal issues and relevant source documents within the reviewer’s designated practice area.
• Evaluate legal analyses for accuracy, completeness, and professional standards.
• Detect significant errors, omissions, unsupported conclusions, or deficiencies in legal reasoning.
• Assess sanctions and export-control limitations, licensing considerations, and compliance ramifications where appropriate.
• Review structured finance and securitization transactions, associated documentation, legal analysis, and risk distribution as applicable.
• Examine life sciences and pharmaceutical regulatory issues when relevant.
• Interpret synthetic legal matters and foundational documents.
• Review six blinded legal deliverables identified as A–F.
• Conduct five comparative assessments against a standard output.
• Choose the superior responses based on substantive legal quality.
• Offer concise, specific written justifications for preference selections.
• Adhere consistently to project guidelines and evaluation standards.
• Licensed attorney with extensive, up-to-date professional experience in at least one of the following areas: sanctions and export controls; structured finance and securitization; life sciences and pharmaceutical regulatory law.
• Strong expert legal analysis and professional judgment.
• Capacity to assess legal work comprehensively for accuracy, completeness, judgment, and practical applicability.
• Proficient written English.
• Comfortable evaluating competing legal methodologies and articulating preference rationales.
• Ability to operate independently following detailed written instructions and meeting deadlines.
• External AI tools must not be utilized on project materials.
• Work must be completed without referencing confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, institution, or other third party.
• Part-time independent contractor position.
• Fully remote working environment.
• Compensation: $140–$150/hour.
• Approximately 24–30 hours of work throughout the engagement.
• Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded based on project requirements and performance.
• NDA and confidentiality obligations apply.
• H1-B and STEM OPT support are not available for this position.
