Legal Counsel, Fixed-Term

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Assist the Legal team in ensuring the efficient execution of departmental tasks.

• Proactively engage in new initiatives and create innovative processes.

• Provide legal advice to managers on various matters.

• Counsel the company regarding compliance, legal issues, and data protection.

• Act as the primary contact for employees and management regarding legal inquiries.

• Keep abreast of changes in case law and legislation, developing suitable solutions.

• Facilitate contract negotiations.

• Collaborate with and oversee external advisors, including legal firms and governmental bodies.

• Support all teams at Chrono24, from creating new business models to executing ongoing projects.

• Ensure legal safeguards are established from the beginning.

• Report directly to the Head of Legal.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completion of two German State Examinations in Law or an equivalent qualification.

• Several years of experience as a commercially focused, generalist in-house legal counsel.

• Comprehensive knowledge of corporate law and/or IT law.

• Preferably, experience in a technology or e-commerce setting.

• Strong risk awareness coupled with excellent interpersonal skills.

• Exceptional communication abilities and a friendly demeanor.

• A dedicated commitment to accuracy and high-quality work.

• Familiarity with AI tools in the legal domain.

• Experience in establishing frameworks, skills, or workflows for effective AI utilization within a legal department.

• Strong collaborative spirit, organizational acumen, and the capability to work independently.

• Ability to articulate complex issues clearly and succinctly.

• Proficient in English.
