Legal Counsel, English and French Speaker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Evaluate, draft, and negotiate a range of contractual agreements with the company’s partners while participating in meetings.

• Address internal and external inquiries and provide guidance on contract terms and conditions, including (but not limited to) commercial issues, data protection, and intellectual property.

• Supervise the contract review and escalation processes to ensure adherence to legal and business standards.

• Interpret and clarify contractual terms to comply with regional legal and business requirements.

• Collaborate with other business areas to create and implement legal playbooks.

• Articulate contract terminology and conduct legal training sessions and workshops for internal teams, offering general advice on relevant subjects.

• Assist with high-volume legal demands from various business units, ensuring both efficiency and compliance.

• Anticipate, identify, and mitigate legal risks and potential contingencies, recommending preventive measures to avert legal disputes.

• Act as a trusted advisor, providing timely legal advice to business areas to advance the company’s objectives and safeguard its interests.

⛳️ Requirements

• Law Degree (acquired in any European Country).

• Proficiency in contract law, risk assessment, data protection, and legal negotiations.

• Over 6 years of demonstrated work experience in a law firm or in-house legal positions within multinational corporations.

• Background in contract review, negotiation, and general advisory roles.

• Exceptional communication and negotiation capabilities, demonstrating diplomacy and adaptability.

• Comprehensive understanding of contract terms and conditions with the ability to operate across multiple countries.

• Experience utilizing AI and Contract Lifecycle Management tools.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Remarkable attention to detail.

• Capacity to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Skill in articulating complex issues clearly, simply, and concisely to all organizational levels.

• Sound judgment and business acumen.

• Enthusiastic, self-driven, and efficient.

• Native or Fluent proficiency in English and French is essential.

• Strong organizational capabilities to work independently, prioritize, and manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously.
