This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Oversee Commercial Contracting: take responsibility for intricate agreements with customers, vendors, and partners.
• Lead and facilitate commercial negotiations in collaboration with Sales and senior stakeholders.
• Provide guidance on risk distribution.
• Assist in RFP processes and strategic deal formation.
• Manage modifications, change requests, and matters related to the contract lifecycle.
• Address non-performance scenarios, including demand letters and termination notifications.
• Operate within a financial services framework and advise on contractual implications of outsourcing.
• Collaborate closely with Risk & Compliance teams.
• Create and enhance contract templates and negotiation strategies.
• Play a role in developing a scalable, high-performing legal function that aligns with business goals.
• Qualified Solicitor (UK), Rechtsanwalt (Germany), or Abogado (Spain), admitted and in good standing.
• At least 3 years of post-qualification experience.
• Experience at a globally recognized commercial law firm or a leading national firm is highly preferred.
• Proven experience in negotiating complex commercial agreements within the financial services sector.
• Demonstrated experience leading negotiations directly with regulated financial institutions or Tier 1 banks.
• Exceptional drafting and negotiation capabilities.
• Ability to independently manage transactions from term sheet to signature.
• High level of technical legal proficiency is expected.
• Capacity to interpret and apply regulatory requirements in a commercial context.
