Legal Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Legal generalist: You provide independent legal advice to our various departments (such as Sales, Marketing, Product, and Finance) on all legal matters encountered in daily operations.

• Contract oversight: You are responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a diverse array of agreements, including SaaS and partnership contracts, service agreements, and non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).

• Collaborative support: You offer legal assistance for internal projects, ensuring that new business initiatives and processes are established securely.

• Corporate and compliance: You support corporate law issues and ensure adherence to our internal policies and compliance standards.

• Knowledge dissemination: You translate complex legal topics into understandable language for non-lawyers and conduct necessary internal training sessions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Education: You possess a completed law degree (First State Examination or business lawyer), ideally supplemented by the Second State Examination.

• Experience: You have initial professional experience acquired at a law firm or within an in-house legal department, preferably in a fast-paced tech or digital setting.

• Generalist expertise: You have a strong understanding of general civil and commercial law (BGB, HGB) and ideally some experience with IT law, intellectual property, or employment law.

• Proactive approach: You view yourself as a facilitator ("business partner") and seek pragmatic, commercially viable solutions for intricate legal issues.

• Communication skills: You are comfortable negotiating in both German and English, as our team and partners are international.
