Legal Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Prepare, assess, and negotiate various commercial agreements, such as NDAs, MSAs, software licensing and implementation contracts, DPAs, and support/maintenance agreements.

• Deliver prompt, business-focused legal guidance to internal teams (Sales, Product, Partnerships, Finance) and help to align risk management with commercial goals.

• Manage and implement compliance protocols, draft and sustain global policies, and ensure compliance with data protection laws (GDPR and other applicable jurisdictions).

• Assist in managing patents, trademarks, software, and licensing frameworks, while providing counsel on intellectual property protection and enforcement.

• Offer advice on international legal issues and collaborate with local legal counsel as necessary across the Asia-Pacific region, the UK, Europe, and the US.

• Keep abreast of changes in technology law, privacy, and AI regulations, and advise on their implications for Silent Eight’s operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Law degree and legal qualifications that permit practice in Poland (additional international credentials are an advantage).

• 3-5 years of experience as legal counsel and/or at a law firm, ideally with a focus on IT/technology contracts.

• Demonstrated proficiency in drafting and negotiating contracts in English, particularly under UK/US/common law jurisdictions.

• Strong grasp of data protection laws (GDPR) and experience with DPAs, privacy compliance, and cross-border data transfer matters.

• Knowledge of intellectual property law, software licensing, and SaaS/on-premise agreements.

• Exceptional English drafting and communication abilities.

• Strong business insight with a proactive, solution-driven approach.
