Legal Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Establishing legal support for the business with a focus on jurisdictions in North America, the UK, and Europe.

• Developing product compliance from the ground up in areas such as consumer rights protection, e-commerce, data protection, and payment systems.

• Building and safeguarding a portfolio of intellectual property — registering trademarks in the USA, EU, and other key jurisdictions.

• Preparing and reviewing contracts and other legal documents.

• Supporting the full lifecycle of corporate structures within the group of companies.

• Conducting research and analysis of legal risks in jurisdictions where the company operates.

• Implementing legal compliance in marketing, consumer rights protection, e-commerce, data protection, and payment processes.

• Enhancing legal processes and Legal Operations — automation, standardization, and optimization of document handling.

⛳️ Requirements

• You have 2+ years of relevant experience in a leading law firm, Big 4 company, or tech firm.

• A degree from one of the top law universities in Ukraine (a degree from a foreign university will be an advantage).

• You possess knowledge of contract and commercial law, corporate law, legal issues in the tech sphere, data protection, compliance, and/or IP.

• You are fluent in English, including basic legal writing skills.

• You take initiative and independently manage a wide range of legal tasks, approaching challenges creatively where others see dead ends.

• You do not stop halfway through complex legal issues and constantly strive to develop your legal skills in a dynamic environment.
