This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Accountable for the strategic management and administration of leave of absence, disability, and paid time off programs across a multi-state workforce.
• Act as the subject matter expert on federal, state, and local leave regulations to ensure compliant leave administration.
• Supervise the coordination of workers’ compensation cases in relation to leave and disability programs.
• Collaborate with the Benefits Manager to align strategies for leave, disability, and health plans.
• Keep track of legislative changes and suggest policy updates as necessary.
• Offer guidance on complex leave and accommodation matters alongside HR and Compliance teams.
• Lead a team of three leave analysts, ensuring the delivery of high-quality case management.
• Manage the daily administration of leave and disability programs, including oversight of vendor performance.
• Create scalable leave processes and compliance controls.
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in leave administration within mid- to large-sized, multi-state organizations (2,000–5,000 employees).
• Minimum of 3 years of direct experience in people management.
• Extensive knowledge of federal and multi-state leave laws and regulatory compliance, including complex leave coordination and disability integration.
• Proven experience managing escalated, high-risk, or complex leave cases with sound judgment and defensible decision-making.
• Experience working within a decentralized or matrixed environment.
• Strong analytical abilities to interpret data, recognize trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
• Established capability to design and implement scalable processes and compliance controls.
• High level of confidentiality, discretion, and independent accountability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively influence and educate stakeholders at all organizational levels.
