This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create engaging, learner-focused experiences that align with desired outcomes and student needs.
• Develop lessons, projects, assessments, and activities rooted in solid instructional design principles.
• Utilize design frameworks, templates, and accessibility standards to ensure consistency and quality.
• Explore new tools and formats (e.g., AI, interactive media) to maximize learner impact.
• Assist senior designers in crafting curricula and learning experiences across various programs.
• Aid in the preparation of course deployment materials and perform final quality assurance checks on LMS content.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to convert their expertise into clear, structured learning content.
• Curate and modify high-quality materials for online, blended, and experiential learning settings.
• Document and organize learning assets for reuse, scalability, and version control.
• Engage in content review sessions, applying ALX’s design frameworks and templates to ensure accuracy, clarity, and learner engagement.
• Identify and document improvement areas within existing courses, proposing practical enhancements.
• Assist in the collection, cleaning, and organization of learner feedback and analytics for use in iterative design cycles.
• Support experimentation with new authoring tools, AI-assisted design workflows, and interactive media formats.
• Learn and apply HTML/CSS for minor course edits or updates on learning platforms, under the guidance of senior designers.
• Utilize learner and stakeholder feedback to refine and enhance learning experiences.
• Monitor learner outcomes and integrate insights into iterative design cycles.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of team design playbooks and standards.
• Proactively seek mentorship and feedback from senior designers to enhance instructional design and project management skills.
• Demonstrated experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or related areas.
• Practical experience with online, blended, or technology-enabled learning environments.
• Familiarity with user-centered design, educational technology, or creative storytelling is preferred.
• Strong understanding of instructional design models and adult learning theories.
• Ability to create clear and engaging content across various formats.
• Proficiency in using instructional design tools and digital learning platforms.
• Strong analytical skills to assess learning effectiveness and implement data-driven improvements.
• Excellent collaboration and communication abilities.
• Creative problem-solving skills with attention to detail and usability.
