Learning Experience Design Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the learning experience design process and lead the course development team in crafting learner-centered materials and experiences.

• Work collaboratively with academic leaders, educators, subject matter experts, and professionals to aid in the curriculum and learning resource development.

• Convert course vision into captivating instructional strategies and resources.

• Create and develop instructional content, including refining learning objectives, organizing materials, designing assessments, and planning activities.

• Implement instructional design, eLearning principles, adult learning theories, and game-based learning in curriculum designs to ensure students experience Contextualized, Applied, Practical, Relative, and Inclusive (CAPRI) learning opportunities.

• Develop engaging, learner-focused courses within the learning management system.

• Establish realistic timelines for curriculum objectives alongside the course development team and achieve development milestones for course launches.

• Create digital resources to enrich classroom learning.

• Assist in the preparation of supplementary guides for teachers and students.

• Leverage feedback from students, faculty, and academic leaders, as well as performance data, to refine the curriculum and document necessary adjustments.

• Help in setting up surveys, exams, and assessments to evaluate curriculum effectiveness.

• Remain current with designated program portfolios.

• Stay informed about trends in instructional design, learning sciences, and educational technology.

• Perform other assigned tasks as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

• Certification in Instructional Design.

• Proven expertise in video production, webpage/website development, and graphic design/layout.

• Proficient in online course development and enhancing learner experiences, including considerations for accessibility and usability.

• Knowledgeable about the software and hardware utilized in technology-based instruction, including Learning Management Systems and AI edtech tools.

• Familiarity with current and emerging instructional pedagogies, adult learning theories, learning outcome assessments, project management strategies, game-based learning, and learning sciences.

• Understanding of Copyright and Fair Use regulations.

• Excellent collaboration, written, and verbal communication skills.

• Basic planning skills, vision, and creative intelligence.

• A strong passion for education.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in consulting and developing eLearning/instructional resources, training faculty and instructors in best practices for technology use in instruction, and creating digital and online instructional resources.
